Obituary of Ethel Lilly Baillargeon

Ethel L. Baillargeon, age 89, of Lake Placid, NY passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at AMC-Uihlein Living Center in Lake Placid, NY. Mrs. Baillargeon was born April 17, 1927 in Hague, NY. She is the daughter of the late Frank and the late Annette (Whitcomb) Fitzgerald. She as the wife of Edgar B.Baillargeon, Sr., Mr. Baillargeon died October 3, 2008. Mrs. Baillargeon had worked as a telephone operator and at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid, NY. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and many friends at the Greenwood Apartments and later at AMC-Uihlein Living Center. Mrs. Baillargeon looked forward to activity time at Uihlein and loved playing bingo, music activities and especially enjoyed spending time in the daycare. She is survived by three children: Penni Miner (Bill) of Tupper Lake, NY, Bernie Baillargeon (Debbie) of Lake Placid, NY, and Viki Barney (Wayne) of Lake Placid, NY; one brother, Martin Fitzgerald of Silver Bay, NY; four grandchildren; Becky, Joelynn (Brandon), Sparky (Cassie), and Mellissa, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Betty Whitford, Eleanor "Pete" Levitt, and Jeanette Gordon; one brother, Charlie Fitzgerald; one grandson, Caleb Baillargeon, and one son In Law, Robert Miner. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, August 9th at the Reiss Memorial Chapel, in AMC-Uihlein Living Center, Lake Placid, NY. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the Lake Placid Vol. Ambulance Service or AMC-Uihlein Living Center for use in the Activities Dept.
