Obituary of Rosie Kilburn

Rosie L Kilburn, 46, of Lake Placid, passed on to eternal glory on December 4, 2016, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Rosie was born on April 18, 1970, in Albany and was the daughter of Rose Moon Strack and the late Leon E "Junior" Strack. Rosie graduated from Lake Placid Central School in the class of 1988. She was married to her true love and soul mate Gene Kilburn on November 23, 2002. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, doing puzzles, coloring and drawing, and many of the activities and events at Elderwood/Uihlein Mercy Center, where she had been a resident for several years. Survivors include her mom Rose and stepdad Randall Collins; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Nancy Strack of Decatur, Alabama, sister and brother-in-law Lena and Scott Bradford of Liberty, South Carolina, brother Leon C Strack of Lake Placid, and sister and brother-in-law Karen and Charlie Tebo of Lake Placid; nephews Edward Tebo, Joshua Bradford, Joel Bradford, and Michael Riznyk; nieces Lydia Bradford, Sarah Bradford, Michelle Strack, Shannon Simpson, and Sharon Leary; sisters-in-law Sharon Kilburn, Jackie Hamilton, Priscilla Kilburn, and Sandy Mihill; brothers-in-law Joe Kilburn, Billy Kilburn, and Tony Kilburn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Gene, her sister Evelyn Strack, and her father Leon. A funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 7th at 1:00 PM with a period of visitation from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the Lake Placid Baptist Church in Lake Placid, NY. Rev. Jim Koenig will officiate. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery, Old Military Rd., Lake Placid, NY. The M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements.
