Obituary of Kenneth Phaneuf

Kenneth B. Phaneuf, 91, of Champlain, NY, passed away on December 7, 2016 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Champlain, NY on February 3rd, 1925, the son of George E. and Edith Meseck Phaneuf.
He married Beatrice Gamache on August 31st, 1951. She passed away on May 29, 1990.
Kenneth was employed by Harris Graphics for forty-two years, retiring in 1987. He was a World War Two veteran, having served in Italy. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post 1418, and a life member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
In the 60s, 70s and early 80s Kenneth was a well-known musician with his son, and their band "Tequila" played at many establishments, weddings, etc.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Clifton and Tina Phaneuf of Plattsburgh, son-in-law Francis Connelly of Rouses Point, a grandson Shawn Connelly of Rouses Point, two Brothers Aldon Phaneuf of Champlain and Aurel Phaneuf of Champlain and one sister-in-law, Wanda Gamache of Rouses Point.
Kenneth was predeceased by his daughter, Veronica Connelly, five sisters, Pauline Laporte, Geraldine Parker, Joyce Coupal, Jean Coupal and Lorena Guerin, and three brothers, Joseph Phaneuf, Floyd Phaneuf and Leo Phaneuf.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Champlain on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., followed immediately by a burial in St. Mary's Cemetery on Church Street in Champlain. Arrangements are in the care of M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Champlain.
