Today we lost our most treasured person, Thomas M. Riedl, age 48, of Lake Placid, NY. Tom was born October 24, 1963 in Bayonne, NJ. He is the son of Hans and Ursula (Brath). Tom moved to Lake Placid, NY in 1976. Tom enjoyed the Adirondacks and became a man of the woods. He learned to live with nature in his own way. Riedlmeyer loved hunting, fishing, campfires, close friends, fast cars, family, animals, and working with pride on each project he undertook. Unorthodox in his methods but strong with his convictions he attacked each day. He looked and saw the best in each person. Laughter was his medicine, friends and family were his foundation. Tom had an amazing uncompromised courage, dedication, and strength as he battled cancer. His grace courage, poise and humor infected everyone. On April 24, 2012 Thomas passed leaving behind the people so dear to him. His wife Tammy; his daughters, Matoka, Jocelyn and Jamie; his mother, Ursula; his father, Hans; his sisters, Theresa, Irene and Susan; his granddaughter, Sophie; his nieces, Amber, Ali, Selena, Tara, Cheyenne, Sydney and Tori; his nephews, Lyle, Brandon, Lance, Aiden, Keegan, Kurt, Merritt, Austin and Wyatt; his great niece, Emma; his mother in law, Sandy and his father in law Allen.
