Sorry to learn of the passing of Marie. She was my first cousin, once removed. My wife and son and I spent a wonderful day with her in upstate New York a few years ago. She was a dynamo - full of energy and charm and a great tour guide to local family sites and the Olympic center. She was always the go-to family member that kept the Ohio branch of the Harrington family connected to our Upper Jay family roots. We will miss Marie. May God bless her and may she rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends. Death at any age is difficult. Please draw comfort from the words found at 1 Corinthians 15:26 it says: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." And also from Hosea 13:14 which says "From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them." Beautiful promises from Jehovah, a God who cannot lie.

Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year...
It's clasped together firmly
With a love that's deep and true,
And it's rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too...
Time can't destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives...
For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold...
And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by. Helen Steiner Rice

I an so sorry to hear about Marie. She was a tremendous women-fearless and adventurous!
She and I did a lot of traveling together when we worked at the Bank. We always had fun. I always appreciated her and I will miss her a great deal.

My husband, Charles Goff, was a relative of Harold and Marie. We never met, but I heard many admirable comments about Marie. My husband is no longer living, but wanted to express my sympathy to your family in your loss of such a special lady. Charles was grandson of Roland Goff.

Marie shared her home with us during the 1980 Olympics when Bill was on duty as a trooper. She worked with my sister Nan Huxford at the bank and hardly knew us but she opened her home and heart to us as though we were family. That was Marie and the world is a better place because she was here for 94 years. Thank you Marie

I recall Mrs. Goff as a famously pleasant lady who was quite tolerant of the shenanigans some of us got into as teens. She was a lovely person who lived a long and blessed life. Our sincerest condolences go out to the entire Goff family.
