My deepest sympathies to the family and friends. Death at any age is difficult. Please draw comfort from the words found at 1 Corinthians 15:26 it says: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." And also from Hosea 13:14 which says "From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them." Beautiful promises from Jehovah, a God who cannot lie.

Dear Patnode Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. It is a loss to me as well. I have fond memories of your mom working in the ski shop and always giving me a welcoming smile. And of course she was the mom of my friends. Janet and Alice we have not kept in touch over the years but you will always remain my friends. As we are getting older and losing our parents and the parents of our friends it makes our time here on earth ever more precious and the memories of our youth ever more dear.
My condolences to all of you and yours.

To all of the Patnode family,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. She was always a gentle soul where the kids on the block were concerned. I loved her laugh and her sense of humor and will always remember her fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Mary

Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of my dear Aunt Ellie. She was always very kind to me both as a child and as an adult. I learned how meaningful a kind word can be to someone, and have taken what I have learned from her kindness and shared it with others. She will remain in my fondest memories.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and I hope your sadness will soon be replaced with happy memories.
Love,
Cynthia

Mr. Schniebs put us on skis and Bart & Ellie made it all fun... We’re saddened by the terrible loss of our Mom’s best friends from high school, just before "the War.” Yet we are heartened by Mom’s consistent observation that they were perfect together from the very start gate. Together they are again. Personally, I can hear Mr. Patnode’s booming laugh ... and Mrs. Patnode’s sweet and understated chuckle. Whiteface will always stand there as a sweet memory for them. -Kent Huntington and family
