Obituary of Sandra Jean Kane

Sandra J. Kane, 77, went home to be with her Lord on September 5, 2017, at Adirondack Medical Center, in the presence of her beloved granddaughter, Samantha, and other family and friends. She was born to Joseph and Viola (Douglas) Rondeau in Black Brook, New York on July 2, 1940. She graduated from AuSable Forks High School in the class of 1958.
She worked for many years for Luke Perkins in the Lake Placid Hardware as his bookkeeper. She then worked for Norman Hess as his legal secretary until his death at which time she retired.
She was predeceased by her companion, William Kush, her son, John H. Kane Jr. her sisters, Dorothy, Veronica and Shirley, and her brother, Ronnie. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Evan) Bauer, her brother Joseph (Bonnie) Rondeau, her son Jeffrey (Jessica) Kane, and her daughter Melissa Ratkovits and daughter in law, Amanda Kane. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The joy of her life was her bi-weekly get together with her granddaughter, Samantha, and her visits with dear friends.
The arrangements are in charge of M.B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Saturday, September 9th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with service immediately following at the Funeral home. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery. Rev. Ingrid Johnson will officiate. Her favorite charity was St. Jude Children's Hospital, if you would like to contribute in her name.
