Dorothy J. Brasch, 100, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid in Lake Placid, NY.
Dorothywas born on a ten acre farm in Irondequoit, New York near Rochester, on June 14, 1917. Her parents were William Schoman and Martha (Frenz) Schoman.
Dorothy graduated from Irondequoit Grammar School in 1931 and graduated from East High School in Rochester, NY in 1935.
Dorothy married Leo Brasch on October 24, 1958 in Blue Mountain Lake, Leo died in May 1961.
Dorothy was a payroll operator for Keelox Manufacturing Company in Rochester, New York for many years until the company went out of business. Thereafter she worked for the United Way as an office clerk until she retired in 1962.
Dorothy is survived by her good friends Bruce Barry and Emily Warner.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM in North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY. Rev Paul Kelly will officiate.
