Veronica M. Delaney, 94, of Miner Farm Rd., Chazy, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. She was born November 26, 1917 in Chateaugay, NY a daughter of the late Homer and Lisa (Supreneault) Hebert.
Veronica was co-owner of the Twin Bridge Restaurant in Champlain. Once the restaurant was sold, she was employed by the Slipper Factory in Mooers, Diamond Match Paper Mill in Plattsburgh and the JCEO in Chazy.
Veronica enjoyed being outdoors, particularly in the summer months, when she would spend many hours in her garden. She loved her children, and always had a special glow when her children or other members of her family would visit.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Gokey and her husband Richard of Champlain and Linda Delaney and companion Richard Demers of Champlain one son, Terry Delaney and his wife Karen of Mooers, her grandchildren, Laura Peryea Guay, Bradley Delaney and Ryan Delaney, and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Peryea and Garry Guay. One sister-in-law, one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Veronica was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, as well as her husband, Roger J. Delaney, who passed away in January of this year.
Funeral Services will be private for Veronica's family on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery of Chazy. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
