Meredith Joy Nyberg, of Saranac Lake, New York died peacefully on February 14, 2018 atElderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid in Lake Placid, New York. She was born in San Francisco on June 30, 1930, to Hilda (Ecklund) and Walter Seewald, and received her nursing training from the Sisters of Mercy in San Diego. She married and raised her family in multiple homes around the country and is survived by sister Carol Rostmeyer, sons Paul Nyberg and Timothy Nyberg, daughter Kristina Wittchen, and by other family and friends. Meredith moved to the North Country in the 1980s and enjoyed time with friends, volunteering, and hiking with her dogs. She and her family appreciated the care provided by the Sisters of Mercy and staff of Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid, mirroring the care Meredith had provided during her nursing career. Services will be private and her family will appreciate any donations made in Meredith's name to the charity of your choice. The M. B. Clark, Inc.
