Jerry "Stubby" Dashnaw, 75 of Lake Placid passed away suddenly on May 6th, 2018. Jerry was born March 14, 1943, the son of Mary Alma Dashnaw Hanlon in Plattsburgh, NY and lived his entire life in the Adirondacks. Jerry was well known for his sense of humor and willingness to lend a hand to whomever needed it.
Jerry is survived by his children Robert Dashnaw and his wife Barbara of Centreville, MD, Rebecca Mendez of Albrightsville, PA, and Kelly Barrett and her husband Jim of Philadelphia, PA, seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Tony Dashnaw (Judy) of Saranac, Thomas Hanlon (Jennifer) of Island Pond, VT, and Richard Hanlon (Cissy) of Saranac Lake. Jerry was predeceased by his mother, brothers Steve Dashnaw and Raymond Hanlon, and a sister Brendalee Brown.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, May 11th from 4 PM to 6 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY with a funeral service to follow at 6 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to share a memory or leave condolences at www.mbclarkfuneralhome.com .
