I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I went to school with Hubert up until we moved from Lake Placid when I was in the 10th grade. He could be quite the jokster and was a very kind person. If he was your friend he would stick by you and be by your side if you needed him. Truly a wonderful person.

Rest in peace, Cousin Hubert. You were one of the good guys. So sorry to hear of your passing. Just figured you would always be there, like the town. I have fond memories of you at the Legion doing karaoke. You were too good for this world. Know you are much happier now. ❤Deb Lewis Cink

Rest In Peace Hubert. I met Hubert as an 18 year old in 1980 working at the Club golf courses cutting greens before heading off to college. Whenever I made a mistake or needed help Hubert was always there to help me. On my last day of work before heading off to college I made sure to say goodbye to Hubert and thank him. He told me that I had a great opportunity ahead of me and to work hard and make something of myself. It meant a lot to me to have an adult say something like that. Years later I had the pleasure of introducing my daughters to him and he gave us a great choo choo which enthralled them. My condolences to his family and friends.

For all of my growing up years and most of my adult years, you have been part of my life! It certainly felt like we were family! Changes in our lives and the loss of my grandmother and your Dad have made our contact minimal. It was always hard to get you to come to holiday dinners in later years but you have always been in my heart and always will be! It will still be strange to realize that you aren’t there in Lake Placid! Rest In Peace, Raymond!!

Though distance, retirements, and life's circumstances have caused us not to be in contact as much as in the past, we have been acquaintances and friends for about 65 years. Because our families were frequently together and Hubert, Sr. and Hubert, Jr. shared the same name, in our family Hubert, Jr. was known as "Raymond" to distinguish the two of them. Raymond, this is an untimely departure, and you will be missed.
