Obituary of James Arthur Stanton
James Arthur 'Bud' Stanton James Arthur "Bud" Stanton of Akron, New York formerly of Lake Placid, New York, passed away March 23, 2019 at the age of 57.
James was born December 14, 1961 in Lake Placid, New York the son of Leland F. Stanton, Sr. and Barbara J. (Watson) Stanton. Mr. Stanton passed away September 10, 2015 and Mrs. Stanton passed away December 7, 2011.
Jimmy was a graduate of Lake Placid High School and in the 1970's he worked for Northland Paving Co., in the 1980's and 1990's for Queior Paving Co., and from the 1990's until 2012 he ran his own business Northland Paving Co. in Lake Placid, NY. Jimmy moved to Akron, NY to be near his daughter Colby her husband Christopher Jagielo and their children. He worked in Akron, NY as Grounds Manager for Chris Basil Toyota.
James is survived by three children; Jesse Betzold and her husband Dean of California, Harlee Lara and her husband Samuel of California, and Colby Jagielo and her husband Christopher of Akron, NY. Jimmy is also survived by nine siblings, Wesley Stanton and his wife Tammy of Lake Placid, NY, Terry Darrah and her husband Cliff of Bloomingdale, NY, Linda Hudson and her husband Wayne of Keene Valley, NY, Deborah Stanton of Lake Placid, NY, Leland "Lee" Stanton Jr. and his wife Patricia of Lake Placid, NY, Tracy Colby and her husband James of Lake Placid, NY, Joel Stanton of Lake Placid, NY, William Stanton and his wife Mary of Lake Placid, NY and Rachel Stanton of Lake Placid, NY; His grandchildren, Delaney Betzold, Lincoln Arthur and Theodore Lesley Jagielo, and Fariah, Bri, Sam Jr., Lara and Raelynn Jaymes. He is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY, Friday, May 10th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service to follow at 8:00 PM, Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The M.B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements.
