Obituary of Elizabeth Marie Rein Boire

Elizabeth "Betty/Liz" Boire, 79, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Northport, Fla., entered into the arms of the Lord on May 29, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Liz married the love of her life, Ralph, 58 years ago. She retired from St. Mary's Academy Preschool and previously worked at Champlain Federal Credit Union and Ayerst Laboratories. She was a life-long member of the Court Lily of the Mohawk Catholic Daughters.
Liz enjoyed living life. When she was 19, although she was not much of a swimmer, she bought a motorboat and learned to water-ski. She never shied away from a scary roller coaster with her children and grandchildren, ATVs, and was known to have a lead foot. Throughout her entire life, she enjoyed dancing, singing, and playing the piano with family and friends. For her children and grandchildren, nothing was more important than their health and their favorite foods prepared their way.

Liz is survived by her husband, Ralph; her children, Mark Boire (Peter Quinnan), Lisa VanNatten (John), and Matthew (Niki) Boire; her grandchildren Joshua, Cameron, and Andrew VanNatten, Andee and Colby Boire; her brother, Marcel Filion ((Barbara); her brothers and sisters-in-law Tina and James Boire, Sue and Frank Guay, and Donna Filion. She will be greeted in heaven by her parents, Germaine and Valerian Filion; sister Lena Filion; and brother Gerard Filion; mother and father-in-law Bernyce and Ward Boire; and granddaughter Lauren VanNatten.

Calling hours will be held at M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point, N.Y., on Monday, June 3, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point, N.Y. Interment will take place at a later date. All are then invited to attend a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus in Champlain, N.Y.
