Linda was my high school friend at Shenendehowa. We were Grand Union girls together. We had some great times. She had a quick wit and a wonderful smile. A beauty, inside and out.

My heart breaks for Hanns, Caityn, Lindsay, and family. Linda was a beautiful, smart, engaging, and very family-oriented woman. Her smile radiated with love for her family and she was full of life. Her legacy is the fabulous young women she raised and her long, happy marriage to Hanns. It is unbelievably sad to lose Linda so young. I am here for anything you guys need. Julia

Though I only shared space with Linda a few times, she was always a major presence in my vision, mainly through Caits' and Linday's eyes and words. Which is a huge testament to the singularly powerful kind of Mom she is. The times we had together were largely of celebration: family weddings, art celebrations, music events. And her light was always beaming with pride, love and support. I have found my eyes welling up while in the congregation of attendees or behind the turntables at many a Meissner/Monro affair; the emotional swell drawing on feeling a parent's onlooking energy in proxy. I only have to recall the 12 hour Adirondack porch dance party Linda and Hanns hosted for Caits and Taf's wedding to touch that feeling. To know how important Linda is as a matriarch and shaper of worlds is to know her family. I am so fortunate to have been welcomed into the fold and to have been able to witness so much singing, dancing, embracing and life! You are missed and celebrated and carried in so many ways.
All my love and condolences,
Sam

One of my favorite memories of Linda is a time when she drove Lindsay back to NYC and the three of us went out to dinner. While we were out to eat, she regaled me with the story of Lindsay performing a song at a family wedding and she was so delighted and proud. When she went home that night, she emailed me a video of Lindsay's performance so I could watch it, but the video was so big that it didn't go through at first. She tried sending it to me many times until it finally sent properly. She was SO excited to share the video with me and I loved seeing how proud of Lindsay she was and how supportive. In the coming year, I got to feel some of that support when she not only contributed to my marathon fundraiser, but also sent me the loveliest congrats email (with many clapping emojis!) after I finished the race. Even from far away, she made me feel so loved and welcome when I moved in with Lindsay and I will always cherish that.

My sincere condolences to Linda’s family. Linda and I met at Shenendehowa, in homeroom, and we clicked right away. She was kind and smart and funny. Then we went our separate ways...for 45 years. Thanks to Facebook, I noticed that I knew people who had commented on her page, who I knew from Keene and Keene Valley. For 7 years I had lived in Keene and never ran into her at Stewart’s. It was wonderful to catch up on our lives. So it was lunch here and there for the last 5 years and that was very special. She truly loved and cherished her family and appreciated her life. A gem who will be mourned and missed. Peace to those who loved her.

We don’t always remember meeting people for the first time, but I recall the day I met Linda like it was yesterday. I was interviewing for an entry level counseling job at a Chicago halfway home, and also in the office were Linda and another employee. The manager across the desk from me would ask a question, and as I was answering she would struggle to suppress a laugh. I was confused but I got the job, and found out later that Linda and her co-worker Carmen were furtively holding up scrawled signs behind me that read things like “who cares, hire him.” Turns out they were desperately short on male counselors. I got hired, and Linda was a big help at what was my first white-collar job. She was also a friend for life. She’ll be missed. —Nathan Seppa
Nathan’s good fortune became mine as well. The moment I met Linda in Chicago we connected, and we have ever since. Even though we didn’t see each other often during our work/child rearing years, whenever we did meet up we bonded instantly. Our hearts are with you Hanns, Caits, and Lindsey, and with her loving Munro family. - Kerry Korpi

Linda and I worked together for many years. She was truly a lovely soul. My day was always a little bit brighter when she was a part of it. I recall with fondness our mutual joy upon retirement and how excited she was to begin this next stage of her life. The thoughts and prayers of the Cooper family go out to all of Linda’s friends and family.

Linda’s untimely death has left a big hole in our lives.. Her love for Hanns, Caits and Taff, Lindsay and her siblings was evident. I will miss so many things- her friendship, her smile, her sense of humor, her insight and her love of belting out Barbra Streisand songs -being just a few.
I will keep her memory close to my heart for years to come.
