To the Barrett family,
Thank you for allowing us to get to know Pat and to call him friend. He had the rare qualities of being good and great. It is also very rare for a man to be equally adept and successful in the private and public sectors. He was all of those things and more. His friendship was true and enduring and he touched so many lives in a positive way. He will be missed.

Memory Eternal Pat. I met Pat in 1987. He was a dynamic influence in our
efforts to elect Nick Pirro as County Executive. Pat was the key to Nick's victory in a primary & general election.
A good and decent person who will be missed by friends & family.

To the family and loved ones of Pat Barrett,
I was deeply saddened when I learned of Pat's passing. My first meeting with Pat was many years ago on a flight from NYC to Syracuse on a Friday night when both of us were returning to our families in Manlius. He began to introduce himself, and I immediately sensed that Pat was a true gentleman that could greet a stranger and make one feel at ease in his presence. This meeting became a ritual for many weeks thereafter when we shared stories of mutual friends while returning home from NYC.
It was some years later, after both of our career paths had changed, that Pat approached me in the P&C while doing grocery shopping, and took the time to ask me how I was doing. That small but honest gesture was a true concern for a past acquaintance from a remarkable gentleman. I will always cherish Pat's compassion for his fellow man. Tonight at my bedside I will lean down on my knees and say a prayer to Pat thanking him for his goodness to all of those that knew him.

Dear Barrett Boys,
We were very sad to learn of your Dads passing.
We first met Pat at CBA , where our boys were in classes with Rob,Luke and Teddy.
Ben being younger than the boys eventually became friends and works with our son Joseph.
Your Dad was always a true gentleman , generous, kind and loyal.
It was our honor and privilege to have known him.
May he Rest In Peace.

To Barrett Family
My deepest condolences to all. Pat was someone I always admired. I first met Pat when I began working in the DA's Office in Syr and learned about our common connections starting with being Siena College graduates ! Over the years he offered his Dome Box and tickets to many a Siena event I was working on....then it was seeing him at political events, Chiefs games, and then standing along the fence at CBA football games catching up. He always had time for me and inspired me to care for people in the way he did. May God greet him and tell him job well done and hope you guys are ok!

My husband Gary and I were very sorry to hear about the passing of your wonderful
father and grandfather. My husband Gary grew up next door to Pat in St Regis Falls.I also worked with Pat on the building of the new St. Regis Falls Adult Center
because at that time I was on the Board of Directors. He was a wonderful person who never forgot his roots and was always a generous man. I was also involved
with his beloved Aunts Laura and Anabelle. Again we are so sorry for your loss!

My deepest sympathy to the entire Barrett family. I was saddened to learn of Pat’s passing on Monday. He was a TRUE Adirondack success story - from st Regis falls to the top of the business world, and well respected by all along the way. Relationships were important to Pat and we all benefitted from his love of lake placid and the Adirondacks and what he was able to achieve as chairman of ORDA. I am sorry that I will be unable to attend his funeral on Monday as I am in California arriving home late Monday night but my thoughts and prayers will be with you as you celebrate and give thanks for his life. Sincerely, Betty Little
