Ada was one of the sweetest ladies I know. I was one of those lucky kids that got to experience her famous sugar cookies. (Ada’s son, Matt and I went to school together) Every holiday, school bake sales and on Matt’s birthday, Ada would bless us with those delicious royal frosting sugar cookies! A couples years after Matt and I graduated from high school I told Matt how much I missed his mom’s cookies. In following days, Matt brought me some along with her recipe. Mine will never be as good as hers! A few years ago, I had the pleasure of having Ada’s grandson, Lamar in my class at LPES. For our holiday party he brought in sugar cookies, he said that they were Grandma Ada’s recipe. Mary your mom taught you well. They were just as wonderful as if Ada made them herself, My deepest sympathy to Steve, Matt, Mark, Mitch, Melvin, Mary and their families. Your mom will be missed!❤️
