Donald Scheur, age 85, of Lake Placid, NY died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY. Mr. Scheur was born December 31, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Emmanuel and the late Ruth (Chasen) Scheur. He was predeceased by his wife Elinor (Bloom) Scheur in 2011.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Scheur was Owner and Operator of Acme Sales & Distributing, Buffalo, NY for over 50 years.

He is survived by three sons' Jay Scheur and his wife Jill of Deerfield Beach, FL, David Scheur and his wife Caily of Scottsdale, AZ and Mike Scheur of Lake Placid, NY; 6 grandchildren, Max, Madeline, Dillon, Gavin, Molly and Mayson.

Mr. Scheur moved from Buffalo, NY to Las Vegas and in 2009 he moved to Lake Placid, NY where he received the care and support of many friends at the Lake Placid Senior Center, Whiteface Mountain, the Veterans Administration, and many other organizations in the Lake Placid Area which made his life in Lake Placid enjoyable and relaxing.

Burial will be in Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY on Monday, December 31st.
