Gerald Robert Mesec, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully Saturday January 25, 2020 at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. He was born in Champlain on July 6, 1946, the son of the late Raymond and Belena (LaPan) Mesec. Gerald was a very caring individual who enjoyed singing and being around his family.
Including his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his sister Sandi Planty, and his 2 brothers: Wayne and Mitchell Mesec.
He is survived by his 6 sisters; Barbara (Larry) Rock, Sheila (Paul) Norcross, Wanda (George) Chaney, Leshia Belrose, Tammy (Jimmy Tetreault) Mesec, and Michele (Chipper) Hurlburt. He is also survived by 4 brothers; Gary (Tina), Bruce, Ricky (Theresa) and Kevin (Amy Sterling). Gerald is also survived by a brother in law Brice Planty, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours and funeral are private by the family's request.
