Obituary of Mary Elizabeth McKenna

Mary Elizabeth Quigley McKenna "Betty" passed away on February 9th, 2020 at the age of 94. She was born September 18th 1925 and was the daughter of Irish Immigrants Willie and Molly Lawlor Quigley from Carlow Ireland. She married the love of her life Ronald "Mac" McKenna on January 10th 1945 in the chapel at the Lake Placid Club. She is survived by two daughters and three son in laws; Mary Kay and Joel Lawrence, Amy and Francis Moquin and Victor Roy. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeff Lawrence, Rebecca Pelkey, Justin Roy; four great grandchildren, Kyli, Josh, Colden, and Marina; one niece, Sharon Quigley Mulligan and many special cousins in Ireland. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mac; her daughter, Carol Roy; her sister, Peggy; and brothers, Billy and Kevin. She will always be remembered as a kind wonderful loving mommy and gram. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 17th at 3:00 PM at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Lake Placid, NY. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in May. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
