Mary A. Filion, 70, a life-long resident of Rouses Point, NY, passed away at CVPH Hospital with family by her side on February 23, 2020. She was born in Plattsburgh on May 25, 1949 to George O. and Natalina Bombardier. Mary was a graduate of Champlain College in Burlington. She owned and operated Towne Square Ice Cream Shop in Rouses Point for many years. Before that she worked as a secretary for US Customs Agents. Some of Mary’s hobbies included gardening with her children and grandchildren, doing dried flower crafts and cross-country skiing. She also enjoyed camping and beach vacations. She loved to hang out with her grand dogs: Daisy, Marley, Norabell and Hanny the Duck. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Robert “Bobby” Filion, her parents George and Lena Bombardier, her mother and father-law Jean and Romeo Filion and her brother-in-law Norman Racine. Survivors include her two sons, Jason R Filion of Isle La Motte VT. and life partner Lisa and their two children Joshua and Jacob; Barry Filion and his wife Wendy of Rouses Point and their children Joanna and Dannyella and 5 grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister Patricia Racine, two brothers George R Bombardier and wife Cynthia, Richard Bombardier and wife Judith, along with many nephews and nieces. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11th at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point at 11:00 AM.
