To Eric and all whom knew and loved Ginny, my condolences.
As the rector of St. Eustace (2008-2012) I worked closely and happily with her, appreciating her musical gifts and her fierce loyalty to the music ministry as organist and choir director, her discipline and energy in insuring services were always in tip top shape, her friendship and humor. We had fun together. She was so welcoming to Elizabeth and Annie and me when we arrived—why she even baby sat Annie although she admitted she was a little nervous; among many other kindnesses she took us to dinner at Steak and Seafood, Ed Kane’s place, and in general helped the three of us to acclimatize. Here are some miscellaneous memories of Elizabeth’s: She readily shared her newly minted gusto in Walter Haselton’s company. She kept in touch with Edie, Elizabeth’s mother, after Edie had visited us in Lake Placid; she also kept in touch with the priests who served the parish over her fifty plus years at the church, including me.
She liked to kid and joke but never meanly. She embraced Walter’s musical enthusiasms with a new bride’s energy and commitment and to the church music ministry was added a new Southern twist. I was honored to be asked to officiate at her wedding to Walter, and at her request I pronounced the words of the service in the 1928 Prayer Book version, although I could not resist in my wedding sermon to rib her for her nostalgia. She was a strong and honorable and loving person with definite opinions, and we sometimes disagreed, but never did this affect our friendly regard. Thank you, God, for Ginny. She was a blessing to us all. I am so glad I knew her! Amen.

Prayers for comfort from Sarasota , Fl. as you celebrate the life of a sweet lady who has left us all with a song in our hearts. She tuned our minds to God. And now we sing her to heaven. Until we meet again......

Dear Eric,
Ken and I just learned of your mom's passing. Our hearts go out to you at this sad time. Your mom and I worked together for nearly ten years and I was a member of the choir under her leadership for most of that time. I was incredibly fond of her and I think I can speak for her choir that we all cherished Ginny dearly. She was always in my corner at work and my husband Ken and I both considered her a good and loyal friend. I loved how she spoke her mind - always so straightforward. What wonderful qualities! You had a mom who loved you very much. She will be missed by many who loved her.
Sincerely - Ken Foster & Sharon Carey

I always remember Aunt Ginny's sense of humor. Even though I haven't seen her in years, that's what I remember the most. She also played at Jodi's funeral and that made it special. She had a great heart . I'm so sorry for your loss Eric.
With Love

Ginny taught me so much as a young 18 year old, just out of high school, when I went to work for Gelles. I regret not seeing much of her in the last few years. A wonderful woman and a good friend to so many.
