Sharon and Susan and families
Your mother's obituary is beautiful! Great job on a difficult task. Your mother (and father) were all of those things and more. We are going to miss those long-time friends so much.
I have a LOT of your mother's recipes to remind me of what a great cook and host she was.
Love to all of you,
Joel and Jennifer

Sharon and Susie,
My deepest condolences to you in the loss of your lovely Mother. I remember how warm and welcoming she was whenever I visited. Your house always smelled of her wonderful cooking. Your Mom and Dad were always so happy and charming - visiting with us and interested in learning what new event, adventure, or hockey or football game, we were off to next. I hope your memories of your Mom, along with the strength of your entire loving family, help you through this most difficult time.
With love, hugs, and prayers,
Meg Wilkinson

Sharon, Susan,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. When I first started the Environmental Studies program over 40 years ago it was just me and her down in Brown Hall. The program grew over the years but your mom was always the rock, who kept things calm and functioning when there was chaos all around us. She was the ultimate class act.

Dear Sharon and Sue: I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was always so kind to me. She welcomed me into your Canton home like I was part of the family. I remember her smile, her kindness and her gentle nature when she spoke. Having lost my dad just a few weeks ago, I understand your sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

To the family of precious and dear Mrs. VanAuken. Our prayers to Sharon, Susie and your loved ones. The lovely memories of Sandy Pond and the happy times we had each summer, because of your family, will forever be in our hearts! May you be surrounded by God’s peace and comfort, as you remember the special moments together, with your mom.
