Ma tante Carol was very special to me; she and tante Noella were my Mom's youngest sisters. As an 8th grader, I would take Amos Lavalley's bus from school every Friday to spend the weekend cleaning and doing laundry with her. She had just returned from Raybrook, NY where she had had treatment for TB. She was a happy woman and knew how to find beauty even in painful situations. She knew how to laugh with others as well as at her own foibles. I loved her dearly. Rosie
