To the Sullivan family: Kay was one of my Mother’s great friends. Kay tried to get her to teach at St Mary’s School, but by the time my sister was in school, my Mom was sick and passed in 1965. Kay has been in my thoughts for several years, but we haven’t connected for a long time. I hope you all are at peace with her passing. She was w wonderful lady and a true friend. "Miss McCarthy" was my kindergarten teacher at Lowville Academy in 1946, only 74 years ago! She was so kind, and gave all of us a great introduction to "education." I am a retired university professor, so probably Miss McCarthy planted the seed for my wanting to be a teacher. Paul Roman, Rutledge GA
