Obituary of Leo Paul Bedard

Leo Paul Bedard, 84, of Rouses Point, NY passed away peacefully at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh. Leo was born in Rouses Point to Philip and Grace Bedard, and attended Rouses Point School. He was a man with an excellent work ethic, having been employed at Ayerst/Wyeth for an amazing 50 years. Leo was often looked up to for advice. He was a calm, intelligent man that could accomplish any task that was given to him. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing on Lake Champlain, vacationing with family, bluegrass and Irish rock music, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. Leo is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Jean Bedard (Manor) of Rouses Point, his children Randy (Anne) Bedard of Rouses Point, Crystal (Joseph) Rodarte of Cumberland Head, and Marty (Kathleen) Bedard of Morrisonville, and grandchildren Victoria, Daniel, Alicia, Tina, Justin, and Kylie. Leo is predeceased by his parents, and his siblings Robert, Bernie, Peggy, and Joyce. An hour of visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Leo will then be interred at St. Patrick’s Cemetery before a reception at the American Legion Post #912. A mask will be required at all times in all locations.
