Obituary of David A Barney

David Allen Barney, 54, died suddenly on October 13, 2020 from muscular dystrophy complications in Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, NY David was born on September 30, 1966 in Utica, NY and relocated to the North country where he attended high school and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from business administration from the North Country Community College. He lived a life of passion for music, playing his guitar and enjoyed his years as the owner of Video Plus Store.  His dog “Squirt” was his friend and partner until his recent death.  David was a kind and giving soul who enjoyed life and will always be remembered as a giving person. David is survived by his father Robert Barney, Sr and wife Ginny of Sanford, NC,  Brother Robert Barney Jr, and wife Sonja of Lake Placid, NY; two nephews, Kenneth Saint of Brasher Falls, NY, & Christopher Barney of Lake Placid NY, two nieces, Jennifer Pabins of Constable NY, & Brittany Barney of Lake Placid, NY. David also leaves behind several other family members that loved him dearly - his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and stepsisters/brother. He is predeceased in death by his mother Diane Porter Banks, and sister Suzanne Barney Thurber. For all those who knew and loved him , calling hours will be at M..B. Clark Funeral Home  2310 Saranac Ave, Lake Placid, NY on Thursday October 15th from 6-7:00pm.
