Elizabeth Pearl "Betty" Lawrence, age 89, of Lake Placid, NY passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh, NY where she had been a resident since March of 2012.
Mrs. Lawrence was born June 12, 1931 in Hopkinton, NY. She is the daughter of the late Roland and the late Pearl Elizabeth (Colton) Daby. She was predeceased by her husband Chester M. Lawrence on September 21, 1992 and her three brothers, Howard Daby, Raymond Daby and Charles Daby.
Elizabeth was employed by The Lake Placid Club for several years. She was also employed as a private housekeeper for several years until her retirement in 2004.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Wood of Plattsburgh, NY and Carol Salls and her husband Alan of Plattsburgh, NY; three grandsons, John Wood and his wife Pam, Joel Wood and his wife Sarah, and David Salls; three greatgrandchildren, Alyssa Salls, Dylan Wood, and Tyler Wood; two sister-in law's, Margaret Daby and Sharon Daby.
There are no calling hours. Due to Covid-19 the family will be holding a private service with burial at North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY at their convenience.
