Kenneth Edward Ryan, 89, of Rouses Point and Pierrefonds, Quebec, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2020 at his home in Rouses Point. Ken was born in Montreal, Quebec. He began working at Northern Electric at the age of 15 and retired after 43 years of service at the age of 57. From that time forward, he loved to spend his time in Rouses Point where he made many friends. He enjoyed spending time puttering in his shed aptly named “Ken’s Den.” He also loved his sports, including baseball, Canadian hockey and especially Notre Dame football. Ken was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church and assisted with many funerals. He was also a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and member Knights of Columbus Council #2366. Ken is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce (Burton), his daughters Debbie and Jo-Anne (Steve Barcomb), granddaughters Kirsten Boumil, Megan Boumil-Whitty (Ashley Whitty), step-grandchildren Chelsea Mahan and Nicholas Barcomb, step-great-grandchildren, Kalahan, Ryley and Eagan and his brothers-in-law Gary Burton (Jean) and Glen Burton (Suzanne). He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Edytha (Richards), and brothers William and Patrick. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Duc Nguyen officiating. Masks are required. Interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Spring 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Church.
