Obituary of Stanley Eli Burl

Stanley Eli Burl, age 76, of 89 Greenwood St., Lake Placid died Monday, February 25, 2013 at Adirondack Medical Center of Saranac Lake, NY. Mr. Burl was born September 21, 1936 in Saranac Lake, NY. He is the son of the late Owen Stanley and the late Edna Mae (Gadway) Burl. He was the husband of Beatrice G. Williams. Mrs. Burl died March 31, 2002.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He had worked in Lake Placid, NY for several years for Charlie Gadway as a carpenter at the Ramada Inn, and other properties owned by the Gadway family. Mr. Burl was a member of American Legion.
He is survived by his brother, Max Burl of Severan Park, MD; one sister, Lois Burl of Saranac Lake, NY; his close friend, Frances Sherman; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and one brother, Kenneth Burl.
There are no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 4 at Pilgrim Holiness Church, Sentinal Rd., Lake Placid, NY with Rev. William Saxton officiating. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Placid Vol. Ambulance Service in his memory.
The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home, 2310 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
