Obituary of Lois A. Peryea

Obituary of Lois Catherine (Andrews) Peryea Lois C. Peryea, 90, of Lake Placid, NY passed away on June 4, 2021. Lois was born October 16, 1930 in New Haven Connecticut the daughter of George Clifford Andrews and Helen Regina Waltermire Andrews. Lois was a graduate of Keesville Central High School and earned her Registered Nurse degree from Champlain Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She was an RN staff member of the Placid Memorial Hospital. She worked for Dr. Collins in Albany N.Y. for over 17 years. After retiring from the nursing profession she worked at the Swiss Boutique in Lake Placid, N.Y. Lois married Eugene Peryea January 12, 1957 who proceeded her in death, together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. She had two sons Lawrence and Carl who survive. She is also survived by niece Kim (Andrews) Kranz and cousin Christine (Andrews) Sawyer. Lois was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and served as a greeter. Lois loved her family, friends and her home in Lake Placid. Lois enjoyed the gift of chatting daily with friends and family, she also enjoyed gardening and reading. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 110 Bi-County Blvd., Suite 114, Farmingdale N.Y. 11735. A graveside service will be held June 14th at 2:00 PM at North Elba Cemetery, Old Military Rd., Lake Placid, NY with Father Paul Kelly officiating. The M.B. Clark, Inc.
