Obituary of Maria Danielle
Please share a memory of Maria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Maria Danielle, Parkland, Florida, and Jay, New York passed through the gates of heaven on Tuesday, April 27th to reunite with her sweetheart of 72 years, Michael Danielle.
She was born on July 24, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York. She was an orphan. Her adopted parents were Lawrence and Giovanna Scelta, but they were simply her parents. She came into this world alone, left on a doorstep. She left snuggled in her bed, faint smell of rose and gardenia, surrounded by generations that love her. The sound of Frank Sinatra singing on the radio, her five children, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren all cuddled near her bedside recanting stories. Her family was her life. It is her legacy.
She loved to eat good pasta, travel to Italy, swim in the ocean, and garden. She worshiped her family like it was the sun that lit her from within. She was the matriarch, fearless protector of her children, and the gardener of their spirits. She nurtured, fed, protected, and loved with all her might.
Her selfless, "seed of the earth" spirit will live on forever in her descendants. She taught us how to live to the fullest; how to love blindly with no judgment or limits, and what really matters above all else - La Famiglia.
A Private Family Service was held at Mountain View Cemetery in Upper Jay, NY. Services entrusted to M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY.
