Margaret M. "Peggy" Bechard, 80, of Bushey Blvd, formerly of Priscilla Lane, Champlain, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh. She was born March 1, 1933, daughter of the late Armand and Bertha (Filion) Bechard.
Peggy was a life resident of Champlain and graduated Valedictorian of her class from St. Mary's Academy. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Coopersville. Peggy enjoyed crocheting and playing piano in her earlier years. She also cherished her time spent with family and friends.
Her loving family includes her sister Hortense Boutin and husband Frank of Mooers Forks, and her brothers, Angelo Bechard and wife Marie of Liverpool, NY and Armand Bechard, Jr. of Rouses Point. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her sisters Theresa (Ernest) Ducharme, Gertrude (Hubert) Trombley and Beatrice (Stanley) Coupal, and brothers Maurice (Marie) Bechard, Octave (Gladys) Bechard, Marcel (Wanda) Bechard and Bernard Bechard.
A Calling Hour will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2013 at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain, NY.
Prayer Services will follow the calling hour at 12:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, officiating.
