Please share a memory of Ted to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ted Joseph Favro, 66, of Rouses Point, NY passed into eternal life on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 after a lifelong illness. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on August 24, 1955 to Joseph Charles Favro and Eva Dorothy Martin. Ted’s early school years were at St Patrick’s in Rouses Point, he attended high school at NCCS in Champlain NY, and he went on to receive an Associate of Business degree from Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh. Ted was a licensed customs broker with more than 30 years of experience having worked for F. W. Myers & Co., Trans-Border Customs Services, and UPS Supply Chain Solutions before retiring in February 2017. His interests were deep and varied, including a passion for professional baseball and ice hockey. He was a lifelong Yankees fan and had a membership to The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown where he would visit annually. Ted was also an avid collector of Topps baseball cards, Strat-o-Matic baseball seasons, historical series, movies & shows, and most notably music. His love of rock & roll ran deep with an extensive vinyl and CD collection and high-quality turntables and sound systems to take full advantage of his collection. Ted also had a love for cars and his retirement gift to himself was a red Camaro which he had always wanted to own. He also enjoyed trips with his brother Brian to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, to see his favorite band Foreigner perform in Las Vegas, to baseball Spring Training in Arizona, and other destinations. He was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where for many years he was a daily communicant and lector. And he had a great devotion to the Prayer of the Rosary and to Divine Mercy. Ted is predeceased by his mother Eva D. Favro and survived by his Father Joseph C. Favro, his sister Donna Prusko and her husband the Reverend Deacon Richard Prusko of Utica, NY, his brother Brian Favro and wife Kiat Ang-Favro of Danville CA, his brother Jason Favro and wife Alyssa Favro (Wallett) of Morrisonville, NY as well as one nephew, Justin Favro, four nieces, Danielle Favro, Kailey Favro, Carolyn Favro, Eliana Favro, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of his wonderful care givers over the years, especially the late Dr. Stephen Hausrath, Dr. John Homer, the nursing staff of Unit R3 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Plattsburgh, and a special acknowledgement goes out to Alicia Calacci, Palliative Care NP. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s church in Rouses Point on Saturday, December 11 at 11:00 am. Visitation in the church will be held before the service from 10-11 am. Donations can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and to St Patrick’s Church in Ted's memory. Arrangements are in the care of M. B. Clark Funeral Home in Champlain, NY.
