Thomas J. Blair, 60, passed away peacefully on his birthday, Jan. 25, 2022 at CVPH. Born to George "Mic" and Linda Blair (Umber) in Saranac Lake, he grew up attending Lake Placid High School, graduating in 1980. Thomas was a gifted athlete, playing baseball and hockey, in addition to having an appetite for reading and learning.

Thomas worked as a carpenter for years, taking pride in his work and eventually passing down his skills to his son, Samuel Blair. Thomas had a very generous nature, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Although Thomas struggled with addiction throughout his life, he was finally able to make peace with himself and many others.

In addition to his son, he leaves behind his mother Linda, siblings Lisa Underwood (Greg), Michael Blair (Gail), Tony Blair, Jack Blair, and sister Vickey Celeste, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Tom's memory to the Lake Placid Public Library. A Graveside Service will be held June 11th at 9:00 AM at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid, NY. The M. B.
