Dana Joseph Peryea, 71, of Ray Brook, NY Passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Elizabethtown Community Hospital, Elizabethtown, NY. Dana was born in Saranac Lake, NY April 26, 1950 the son of Donald W. and Mary E. A. (Farley) Peryea.
Dana grew up in Lake Placid, NY graduating from Lake Placid Central School, Class of 1968. He loved sports excelling in skiing, baseball, and track. Dana skied for North Country Community College and was a member of the ski team there during the establishment of the NCCC Ski Team.
Dana owned and operated Sherwood Forest Farm in Ray Brook, NY until his illness.
He is survived by one brother, Larry Peryea and his wife Laura of Ray Brook, NY; one nephew, Patrick Peryea of Ray Brook, NY and one niece, Jennifer Marshall of Ray Brook, NY.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in North Elba Cemetery. Rev. Derek Hansen, Pastor of the Adirondack Community Church will officiate.
