Obituary of Venita Ann McChesney

Venita A McChesney passed peacefully into heaven with her children by her side. Venita was a teacher for nearly 30 years and loved being an educator. After teaching 5 of her own 6 children, Venita retired from teaching to raise her family and went on to own 2 successful restaurants with her husband George (Dick) McChesney, Sr. Venita was a true humanitarian at heart. The joy she felt when helping anyone and everyone, shone so bright through her smile. Venita was involved with many community programs and was very well known in her beloved small town of Rouses Point. Venita’s hobbies were bingo, crossword and word search books, singing & cooking some of the best meals one has ever tasted. Venita is predeceased by her husband George (Dick) McChesney, Sr., her parents Vincent & Hazel Creller, her younger sister Vanessa, granddaughter Elyzah and several aunts, uncles and extended family. Venita leaves behind 6 children who will miss her immensely but are so thankful for a lifetime of memories. Please come and share your Venita memories with her family at M. B. Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 5-7 PM. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 5 at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point.
