Alice H. Macnab September 11, 1932 - March 29, 2013 Alice H. Macnab, 80, of Lake Placid, NY passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at her home in Lake Placid, NY. Alice was born in Long Lake, NY on September 11, 1932. She was the daughter of Oakman Herbert Helms, and Elsie Rodgers Helms. Alice graduated from Union University School of Nursing, at Albany Medical Center in Albany NY, in 1953. She married Alan D Macnab on November 24th 1956. Alice is survived by her four children; Robin (Macnab) Baxter of Lake Placid, Lindsey (Macnab) Batta, and husband Robert of Herndon, VA, Leslie (Macnab) Simoes and husband Arthur of West Hartford, CT, and Alan Breck Macnab and wife Caresse Amenta of Hartford CT and eight grandchildren; Elizabeth Baxter, Alison Baxter, Robert Batta, Alexander Batta, Andrew Batta, Rachel Batta, Isabella Simoes, Mia Simoes and fifteen nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband the Rev. Alan D Macnab, three brothers; Herbert, Gilbert and Edward Helms and two sisters; Virginia Helms Farr, Ellen Helms Boch, and a son-in-law David Baxter. Calling hours will be at St. Eustace Episcopal Church in Lake Placid Thursday, April 4, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at St. Eustace Episcopal Church in Lake Placid, Friday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Daniel Herzog will be the celebrant. The M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements.
