Obituary of Patricia Joan Rascoe

Patricia Joan Rascoe, 63, of Lake Placid, New York, died May 29, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. Born on April 15, 1959, in Saranac Lake, New York, she was the daughter of Joan Rascoe Peacock and William Ennis Rascoe. Patricia attended St. Agnes Parochial School and graduated from Lake Placid Central High School in 1976. She earned a degree in nursing in 1997. Her love for nursing and her strong advocacy for her patients that she cared for will always be remembered. Her parents, William E. Rascoe and Joan Rascoe Peacock, as well as her step-father, Robert J. Peacock, and her Godparents, Therese K. Patnode and David Jones, Sr. predeceased her. She is survived by a sister, Constance G. Rascoe, of Lake Placid, New York, three brothers, William T. Rascoe of Stuart, Florida, Charles G. Rascoe of Lake Placid, New York, and Thomas D. Rascoe of Queensbury, New York, her sister-in-law, Anne F. Rascoe of Queensbury, New York, and her niece, Kathryn Joan Rascoe, of Durham, New Hampshire. She is also survived by one step- sister, Nancy Peacock, and three step-brothers, Robert T. Peacock, Gregory L. Peacock, and Gary Peacock, her aunt, Nancee F. Dixon, and several cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated June 28th at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Church, Lake Placid, NY followed by internment at St. Agnes Cemetery. With gratitude the Rascoe-Peacock families thank Denise Pabins (cousin),Rusty LaHart (friend),Francine Jesmer(friend) and the Nurses from High Peaks Hospice for all of their love and compassion as they gently cared for Patty in the comfort of her own cottage.
