Albertine (Tina) Garrant, 96, of South Burlington passed away peacefully Saturday, September 24 at Birchwood Rehab and Healthcare in Burlington. She was born in Sciota, NY on April 14, 1926, daughter of the late Maude (Paro) and Louis B. Jubert.

Tina was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court in Rouses Point, St. Patrick’s Church, and the South Burlington Senior Center. She was also a founding member of the Rouses Point Fire Department Auxiliary. She was always proud of her business career, her last employer being Trans-Border Customs Services, Inc. in Champlain, NY.

She loved music and dancing, especially with her husband, Andy. Her love for her family was never ending, and she was a devout mother and friend to many.

Tina was pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years Andrew Garrant, brothers Raymond Jubert, Harold Jubert, Arnold Jubert, Herman Jubert and his wife Jean, Maynard Jubert and his wife Virginia, sisters Marquerite and her husband Leo Provencha and Madeline and her husband Lester Sharron, as well as brother-in-law Bud Garrant and sister-in-law Sally (Garrant) Bechard.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey and his partner Dean Pratt of South Burlington, VT, sisters-in-law Barbara Jubert (Rouses Point, NY) and Jacqueline Jubert (Plattsburgh, NY), several nieces and nephews, and many friends. A special thanks to her dear friend Cathy Dumas who made weekly trips from Mooers, NY to visit her and to the entire staff at Birchwood.

At Tina’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 3 at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Rouses Point. Funeral arrangements are in the care of M. B. Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 60 Kimball Avenue, South Burlington, VT 05403.
