Obituary of Aloisia Thiemann

Aloisia Thiemann, age 84, of Lake Placid, NY passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her home in Lake Placid. Mrs. Thiemann was born March 21, 1929 in Binsfeld, Germany the daughter of the late Alois and the late Gertrude (Gehret) Burkard. She married Heinz Thiemann on February 11, 1956 at New York City.
Mrs. Thiemann had a great love for knitting, knitting beautiful sweaters for her family and friends as well as many sweaters for the St. Agnes School Bazar. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband: Heinz Thiemann of Lake Placid, NY; three sons; Peter Thiemann and His Wife Linda of Liverpool, NY, Thomas Thiemann of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and Steven Thiemann and His Wife Barbara of Yonkers, NY; one brother, Linus Luger and three sisters, Emma Langer, Mary Burkard, and Ida Krebs. She also has four grandchildren, Alison, Carolyn, Erich and Christopher.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 21st from 6 PM to 8 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. funeral home in Lake Placid, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 22nd at 10:00 AM at Reiss Memorial Chapel in AMC-Uihlein Living Center, Lake Placid, NY. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery.
The family suggests friends wishing to remember Mrs. Thiemann make donations in her memory to Saint Agnes School in her memory.
