Janice Ridlon Lawrence, a longtime resident of Lake Placid, NY passed away Oct 27, 2022 at the age of 91 in Lititz, PA peacefully at home while living with her daughter, Cathy Ezzo. Janice was born in Rutland, VT on September 15th, 1931, the daughter of Hugh and Hazel Ridlon. She was a graduate of Lake Placid Central High School in 1949. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Lawrence of Lake Placid NY in 2003. She leaves behind her children, Cathy, Susan, William, Joan, Robert and their spouses, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Ann. Janice was a long-time employee of Howard Johnsons Restaurant working in the office for Ron Butler until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed quilting, rug hooking and needlepoint and was part of a rug hooking group in Vestal NY where she lived until 2021. Graveside services will be held on May 13th at 11:00 AM at North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY. Rev. Derek Hansen will officiate. The M. B.
