I met Frieda Meister about 10 years ago when my brother-in-law and I were hiking in the area. Just in our brief visit, we enjoyed Frieda's warm hospitality and good conversations, especially her stories from the 1980 Olympics. The other day, we were chatting about that trip and remembering how much we enjoyed visiting with Frieda and staying at the Edelweiss Motel. She will always be remembered as part of our adventures. And I hope the Edelweiss Motel returns!
