Obituary of Joyce Ann Munch

Joyce Ann Munch, age 71, of Jay, NY died Friday, November 18, 2022 at her home in Jay, NY. Mrs. Munch was born November 19, 1950 in Keene Valley, NY. She is the daughter of the late Glynn Watson and Joyce (Williams) Watson Peck. She was the wife of Richard G. Munch. Joyce met Richard after being introduced to one another by Regina (Watson) Friedrick while liquidating the Lake Placid Club. Joyce and Richard worked together as Liquidators, they worked for NCL Liquidators in Dayton Ohio., Joyce was a Bouquet Manager specializing in fine china and dishware. Work took them nationwide allowing them to travel to many places to include Hawaii, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and several other states in the US. Her work allowed her to enjoy the beauty of the areas she visited, she especially loved Hawaii exploring the volcanos and marveling at the blue ocean waters and animals of the regions. Joyce and Richard Liquidated at The Plaza in New York City. While working at The Plaza she was able to meet Donald Trump. She also was given a Cockatoo which she named Princes Plaza. She liquidated casinos in Las Vegas, hotels and hospitals in Beverly Hills, and several other businesses. Joyce loved to visit the casino's where she would play Bingo and Keno. Joyce loved animals, the deer around her home would come up to her and take an apple from her hand. Joyce is survived by her husband: Richard G. Munch of Jay, NY; her mother Joyce (Peck) Watson of Wilmington, NY; one daughter, Joanna Devlin and her husband Mark of Jay, NY; two sons, Robert Kinsman and his wife Jennifer of Jay, NY and Eric Kinsman and his companion Donna Devlin of Jay, NY. She is also survived by one sister, Glenna Gaudio and her husband Ralph of Illion, NY; and four grandchildren, Koydn, Kyah, Alex and Nate Kinsman. She was predeceased by her father Glynn Watson and two sisters Christina Strack and Regina Friedrick. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 23rd at Pilgrim Holiness Church, 6067 Sentinel Rd., Lake Placid, NY with Rev. Paul Case officiating. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to Pilgrim Holiness Church, 6067 Sentinel Rd., Lake Placid, NY 12946 or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
