Obituary of Gertrude M. Spoor

Gertrude M. Spoor, age 74, of McKenzie Pond Rd., Saranac Lake, NY died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY. Mrs. Spoor was born April 27, 1938 in Richmond, NY the daughter of Robert and Florence (Beane) Stolpe. She attended grammar school in Keansburg, NJ and attended High School in Leonardo, NJ. She was the wife of Gerald F. Spoor, Sr. and together they owned and operated businesses in Lake Placid, NY and New Jersey. She was a loving mother, and a hard-working and loyal partner. She loved to travel in their RV and experience the wonder of new places. She is survived by her husband: Gerald F. Spoor, Sr. of Saranac Lake, NY; one son, Gerald F. Spoor, Jr. of Lake Placid, NY and one grandson, Kyle W. Spoor of Lake Placid, NY. Gertrude was predeceased by one son John R. Spoor; two brothers, Robert Stolpe and John Stolpe and one sister, Lillian Kelly. A Funeral Service will be held 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 30 at M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home, 2310 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid, NY with Rev. Newton Greiner officiating. Burial will follow be in North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 30 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at M. B. Clark, Inc.
