Obituary of Chester Martin Lawrence

Chester Martin Lawrence, Jr., age 55, of Lake Placid, NY died peacefully Friday, April 26, 2013 at Adirondack Medical Center of Saranac Lake, NY with his family by his side. Mr. Lawrence was born February 8, 1958 in Elizabethtown, NY. He is the son of Chester M. and Arvilla (Preston) Lawrence.
Chet was raised in Lake Placid, NY and attended Lake Placid High School, he had worked in Lake Placid and the surrounding area as a self-employed house painter. Chet was an avid New York Giants fan.
He is survived by his son, Jamie Lawrence of Lake Placid, NY; one brother, Kevin Greene of Plattsburgh, NY; one sister, Peggy Fifield-Lawrence of Lake Placid, NY; two grandchildren, Felicity and Jayden Lawrence of Lake Placid, NY; his niece, Shelly O'Connor and her husband Shawn and their children, Patrick, Keena and Kaitlynn all of Lake Placid, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents, Chester M. Lawrence, Sr. and Arvilla (Preston) Lawrence; his infant sister, Barbara Jean Lawrence and his son William J. Stevens.
Calling hours will be held at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home, in Lake Placid, Monday, April 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM followed by a prayer service at 8:30 PM.
Cremation will follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family suggests those wishing to remember Chet make donations in his memory to the Tri Lakes Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association.
