Obituary of Lucille L. Monette

Lucille L. Monette passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Rouses Point Sunmount IRA. She was born in Rouses Point on September 24, 1931 to Frances Potvin and William Monette. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Raymond. Lucille was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and had a very strong faith. She loved to attend Mass and receive the Eucharist. She spent many years caring for her mother and father, and also helped many other people. She loved to knit and made many afghans for her favorite friends. Always a fun and loving person, she loved to tease everyone and everyone loved to tease her. Lucille is survived by many friends, especially her housemates at Sunmount, along with her special friend Grace Cardin, who took such good care of her and whom she loved dearly. Throughout her years, she considered her many friends to be her family and they considered her family as well. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point, NY. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in the Spring. We would like to thank everyone who were so kind and caring for Lucille during her life.
