I will forever remember Red. One of my favorites from my time at Pine Harbour. I'm glad he had an amazing life. So feisty and hilarious. Always looked forward to my hugs and I love yous. The stuff he would say that would make his daughter head shake. The smiles, the laughs, the memories. I will cherish my time with this man forever. Rest easy, I know your wife welcomed you with loving arms.

I grew up with Charles from the time i was 5 days old. He was a good uncle/brother. He farmed it, drove all the farm equipment, and tossed bails of hay a good share of the summer. He was good in school, played basketball, and baseball. He had lots of school friends around Chazy. I have a short story to tell you; he didn't like SNAKES. We were doing the haying on the flats and his brother-n-law, Albert, had a baby snake in his hand and told Red to hold out his hand for some candy. Albert dropped that snake in Red's hand. Well, I had never heard some of those words before! I will sure miss my brother/uncle. Rest in piece, I love you.

I am fortunate to have been an individual who was impacted by Uncle Charles. From the time I was a little girl I admired his humor, intelligence, and love for his family. He was a favorite of mine, and I deeply respected the upstanding role model he provided for our extended family. Any and all visits ended with Uncle Charles saying, "I love you, guy". A couple of years back my dad brought Uncle Charles to my job, and we were able to visit. Although years had passed and our opportunities to see each other became less frequent - he ended that visit by sharing those same words with me - "I love you, guy". That will be my parting memory and I am grateful to have it.

He was such a loving and caring man. I loved seeing his smile every day and hearing his “I love you”. I loved getting his hugs every day. He always loved his white powdered donuts. Sending love and hugs out to the family. He will truly be missed.
