To Mike, Todd, & Brad, It's with a sad heart that I just heard of Agnes's passing. Although it's been so many years, the memories of Agnes will always stay with me. Marrying her was the best decision you ever made. I remember the times we went fishing with our dad's, the Giant football games with the boys, times in Lake Placid. ( Especially 1980 ). I know the pain the family feels, I felt it 8 Years ago when I lost my Patty. I know she is in a better place, although she will be greatly missed. Just arrived in Saranac Lake yesterday visiting a family friend, will be leaving Friday. Maybe we can Ronda view next time I'm in town.

My memories of Aunt Agnes will always be intertwined with Uncle Mike. In my mind they are one and the same….kindred spirits who were a bit ‘more’ than everyone else. They talked a little louder, partied a little harder, laughed more easily and could share a story or tell a joke with the best of them. The Hollrock house was the hub around which the LaLonde family revolved, because Aggie and Mike were the steady center. She will be sorely missed.
Uncle Mike, Todd and Brad, I’m so sorry for your loss. She was special.
I always remember giving an “A” necklace charm I found as a kid, and telling her she was my favorite aunt. I quickly had to backtrack, realizing it would insult my other aunts, so I told her she was my favorite aunt that started with an A. Again, not thinking about Alethea. Sorry Aunt Alethea

Dear Mike, Todd, Brad, and family, may the Lord wrap His loving arms around you during this difficult time.
Agnes was my best childhood friend. We were inseparable. Even when we were told that we couldn’t sit together for family pictures, we managed to seek one another out from opposite sides of the couch.
In later years, I had the honor of being her maid of honor.
I will always remember Agnes as a fearless, fun loving sister who loved to belt out Patsy Cline songs. She will be greatly missed, but we are comforted knowing that she was a Born Again Christian who went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that in Gods timing I will be frolicking with my beloved sister again.

Mike, Todd, Brad,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a large treasure trove of memories from our many family visits together. As a child, I didn't have the slightest understanding of what it takes to nurture long-distance family bonds, but as an adult, I understand and appreciate the effort Agnes went through to host us for so many holidays and long weekends. I can confidently say that we wouldn't have seen each other as often as we did if Agnes didn't place such an enormous premium on maintaining strong family relationships.
Agnes played an important role in my life as a teen. For several years, I spent winter months away from home training for Junior Olympic Luge events and living at the Lake Placid IOTC. It was an exciting, but oftentimes lonely experience. Aunt Agness was mindful of my homesickness and pretty much established an "open-door" policy for me. I can't count the number of unannounced pop-in visits I made, and family dinners I crashed. Her home and heart were always open and I was immensely grateful for her love and kindness.
May the sorrow you feel in your heart lighten by the knowledge of the many lives Agnes touched with her bright spirit.
Love,
Daren

I have such special childhood memories visiting Lake Placid. I loved that time with my cousins and Agnes always made us feel so loved and took such great care of us.
One memory I’ll never forget is from a winter visit when I was about 9. We went skiing and it was my first time. The plan was to have Todd teach me the ropes. We were close buddies but I’m pretty sure he found that to be very boring since he was already skiing black diamonds. I remember falling and I couldn’t get up. Agnes found me laying in the snow, skis crossed and crying at the bottom of the bunny hill at White Face mountain. I was so frustrated and I remember feeling a little scared. I was so grateful for her teaching me how to stand up and how to snow plow. Thanks for the life lesson!
In recent years, we were fortunate to spend some time with Mike & Ag in Northern Va. As they made their way down to Florida they would spend the night and we always had a great time chatting and catching up. I was always moved by her interest and love for my children. She paid attention to them and truly wanted to get to know them.
Agnes loved her family and we loved her. She will surely be missed.
Xoxo,
Krissy

I will always remember Agnes for the family reunions that she hosted at her beautiful home. She was so kind to my parents (Uncle Don and Aunt Charis). My father enjoyed his stay with her and loved singing with her. It was also very kindhearted of her to bring her mom down to pay their respects to my dad and our family when my mother passed away. Rest in peace dear cousin.

The first time we met Agnes was the night before our wedding. She was such a trouper to travel thru a huge snow storm all by herself. We thought Agnes was so pretty and so nice and that Mike was truly a lucky guy to have her in his life.
We have so many fond memories of our family times in Lake Placid. We miss Agnes so much.

My sister Agnes was 3 years older than me. For years we shared a bedroom. In many ways I looked up to her. As other siblings will attest, she was fearless and no matter what she always stood out. She was the life of every party. She lit up a room with her beautiful smile and captured the attention of everyone with her stories. No one could tell a story like my sister Agnes. I will miss her stories and the laughter that went with them, I will miss our phone calls, I will miss my sister! She wasn’t only my sister, she was my sister in Christ and I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.

Like most of us, Agnes had multiple facets to her personality. As a child she was fearless, performing physical feats that the rest of her eight siblings wouldn’t dare. As a teen and young woman, she always attracted a crowd with her wild sense of humor in telling a story. But being a mother is where Agnes truly shined. Her family and her faith meant everything to her. God willing we will all meet her again on the other side of eternity. The attached picture was taken two weeks before her departure from this world. With my sister Charis we had the honor of seeing her through the last month of her life. Until we meet again, I love you Angie!

Mike, Todd and Brad I am so very sorry for your loss. You are and have been in my prayers and I will continue to pray. The best words I can use to describe her are "full of life and fun".this is my son Justin's 2nd birthday and she's holding the candle for him to blow it out, she was wonderful with him and called him her "little boyfriend " The other picture is of a family reunion at her old house. It was fun and Agie was the Belle of the ball or perhaps the ham of the picnic. She made us laugh and loved us all. My heart is broken but there's peace knowing we will see he in heaven. She knew Jesus as her savior as do all of her siblings and reunion will be wonderful I wonder if she will be the ham at that reunion too

Agnes sure knew how to throw a party. These pictures were taken in 1993 at one of the last family reunions for the LaLonde family! Recently I had a chance to share some of my old photos of family members with Agnes. We shared a few chuckles and shed a couple tears too. We didn't see each other often but when we did it was always about family. We LaLondes have a bond that even time can not break. I love you cousin Agnes, thanks for the memories and hug all our loved ones that met you at Heaven's Gate.

Q: How would you describe Agnes to someone who had never met them?
A: My sister was fearless, outspoken and full of life. She could light up a room with her big smile and exuberant personality. She made a simple get together seem like a party. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Her great love for our Lord was an inspiration to many. My big sister left me many fond memories and will remain in my heart always.
