Obituary of Caroline M. Tetreault

Caroline M. (Trombly) Tetreault, 84, of Chazy passed away Wednesday June 21, 2023 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where she received her heart transplant almost 25 years ago. She was born on August 28, 1938, the daughter of Leo and Beatrice (Rock) Trombly. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Rene, on June 1, 1957. They enjoyed 48 great years together, splitting their time between Chazy and New Smyrna Beach Florida. She dedicated her early years to raising her three children and occasionally helping on the family farm. Once her children were raised, she spent her time golfing, bowling, and playing cards. She remained extremely competitive until her health wouldn’t allow her to do so. She was always ready to go on an adventure, especially if shopping was involved. Her top priorities were always her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Carla Hausrath, Irene Garrow, and the Brigham heart transplant team for their exceptional care. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter and son-in-law Denise and Dave Collins of Edgewater FL; her son Randy and daughter in law Carolyn of Chazy; her son Ronnie and his fiancé Denise Parish of Chazy; three grandchildren, Hilary (Kevin) Converse, Kyle (Jessica) Tetreault, and Trevor (Katie) Collins; three step grandchildren, Kristin McAuliffe, Nicolette Terry, and Chantal DuBrey; five greatgrandchildren, Noah and Owen Tetreault, Kinsley and Trevor Collins, and Maxwell Converse; sister Patricia Giandomenico-Tetreault, brother Leon Trombly, brother-in-law Andre Tetreault. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Rene in 2005, and her brother Joe in 2008. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s church in Coopersville on July 7 at 11:00.
